About the original painting: The size of the original painting is 11 x 14 inches, acrylic on board. The grand old building shown in this landscape goes way back, has a plaque on the door and is a site on the historical walk. But as interesting as such things can be, it was the effects of light and color that prompted me to paint the picture. A guy strolled by walking his dog just before I finished the painting and just as he was in front of the house I popped him in the picture as a focal point.
