About the original painting: The work measures 10 x 12 inches, and was painted in acrylics on board in the summer of 2003 in my summer studio on Truro, Cape Cod. Not sure what to paint that morning, I noticed my wife's grapefruit sitting in a coral colored dish. So taken was I with the subject that I snatched Peggy's breakfast, half eaten, painted it, and less than an hour later returned my most long suffering wife's breakfast. The original painting is now in a private collection.
