"Truro Sunset"

About the original painting: "Truro Sunset is a large (for me) square work measuring 18 x 18 inches. It was painted in acrylics on canvas and the working conditions during the intense 2 hour painting session was dreadful. Bugs, lots of them, lead by M&M sized mosquitoes tried to make a diner of me. True to my purpose, however, I stuck it out and caught the wonderful ambience of the sun about to set on Cape Cod's Pamet River. The piece was first shown at the Avalon Ballroom on Catalina Island during the 12th annual Plein Air Painters of America annual exhibit. The original painting is now in a private collection in Southern California.
